EDUbox Politics

Teaching materials

How does our political system work? How are decisions made about our policies? The EDUbox Politics provides young people with insights into our political system and how decisions are made.

For students in the second and third grades of secondary education.

EDUbox politics cover

The political system can seem very complex, and it's not always clear how our vote influences the final policy. This EDUbox aims to provide young people with insights into the political process and let them discover the steps between an idea and eventual policy.

What's it about

The EDUbox Politics consists of five parts:

  • An introduction to the characteristics of the political system and the influence politics has on our lives.
  • Theory with videos and assignments about the path between casting a vote and implementing policies.
  • An exercise where students get to govern a fictional country themselves.
  • Information on how young people can participate in society.
  • Additional inspiration.

How to use it

You can use the EDUbox in two ways:

  • Online, as an individual learning trajectory.
  • Physically, as independent group work in the classroom.

In the classroom, you need one EDUbox per group of 3 to 5 students.

Duration: 3 class hours
